"The figure was revealed to Radio Latina by Nathalie Schirtz of the National Youth Service (SNJ), the body that manages applications aimed at young foreigners between the ages of 18 and 29, for a maximum period of 12 months.
Despite the health crisis, last year alone the SNJ registered 233 young 'au pairs' working in Luxembourg, three less than in 2019 (236), but still 12 more than in 2018 (221).
Currently with 201 young people providing this service (most arrived in 2020), Nathalie Schirtz predicts "growth for 2021."
The figures were revealed to Radio Latina on the sidelines of the announcement of the new cooperation between the SNJ and the LuxAuPair agency. With this partnership, families can now also use the LuxAuPair platform to search for an au pair, start administrative procedures and obtain other information."
